2006 Homemade Urban Architecture
Transparent Window - Sao Paulo, Brazil

Dance and architecture. The dynamic versus the static. Mixing these two disciplines for me is to discover a new way of looking. I want to learn how to dance a building. How to dance the soul of a building. I want to dance the movement of a building that is not moving but leaning against a storm or swaying it's hips in the rhythm of a big cities' rush hour, like slow jazz, head hanging down, shoulders bouncing. I want to learn how to sing a mountain, how to play a love on a piano, how to build a poem out of brick or steel, how to mold a dream out of frozen air.

I want to learn to look at things differently from the way I have done so far. It must be the only way to understand a thing. By coming closer and closer and understanding less and less. When looking becomes seeing. Deeper and deeper. I want to move, run, fly, dance, float.

For me it is the window to look through, the transparent one. The window that offers a glimpse onto the other side, the beyond. Let's go, it's getting late...
