Chinese Whisper step 6

The city come alive. With a fragment of memories the huang pu river cut through the city fabric spreading a sensitive buffer all around random bursts of undetermined nature burst open for the new year...nodes? explosions? crackers? 24? See you.

Chinese Whisper Step 5

- Ruben's aerial view becomes a Megastructure spanning the Huang Pu river, artificially re-connecting a naturally divided landmass.
- Frédéric's window view becomes an artificial parkland, naturally divided by Suzhou creek.
Shanghai now awakens, curious, yet somehow pleased.
Jeb now passes on to Jean Sebastien Bourdages...

Chinese Whisper for PUI Shanghai II

This is a project that is part of the Platform for Urban Investigation Shanghai II to be executed at Island6 Arts Center from February 26 until April 1.
The project is called Chinese Whisper and was invented by Jeb Beresford of Alsop Architects. It consists of a photograph of Frédéric Froument following characters in Shanghai's urbanity.
The image will be manipulated step by step by different participators for this project. The editors are completely free to edit how they want. They can download, print, cut and paste, stick, bend tear or burn, rescan and post it back up. The one who edits last assigns a new editor. The idea is to see how the creative process adds through these steps and uncovers layers of urban reflection.
Alexandra Verhaest will make the first step! Have fun.
