Garbage at Chimalhuacan
This image by Ilana Boltvinik shows a view of the garbage belt at Chimalhuacan. She is working at an idea to do a project based on this garbage and the famous recycling and re-selling of it in the market of the Avenida de las Torres.
Las Jefas de Chimalhuacan
This is an announcement for a organization of single woman in Chimalhuacan. Maybe it is an idea to involve this organization and others within the dialogue of our project. Image shot by Katya Gardea Browne.
Billboard Available at Avenida de las Torres
This billboard is for rent in the Avenida de las Torres. The picture of this billboard was taken by Katya Gardea Browne and can be a good solution for communicating our projects in Chimalhuacan and specifically the works of Lorena, Arturo and Saul.
The End of the Line
This is the end of the Avenida de las Torres, which might be a good place for the 'Talk-Tree' project. Juan Juega is currently doing a research to find out how dangerous the high-voltage is that creates an electromagnetic field. Many people in Chimalhuacan working and living in the Avenida are exposed to this potential damaging phenomena.
Garbage and Black Water
This is one of the potential places to install our 'Talk-tree' project. This is the place in Chimalhuacan where the Black Water runs through. It is the place where the sports fields start in direction of the lake. This place was suggested by Arturo Ortiz.
Potential Flower Pots
This is a abondened car in Chimalhuacan. Betsabeé Romero has made several Urban Gardens out of this kind of car and will work with us in Chimalhuacan to do some more.
Confirmation Exhibition PUI_MEX
We now have the official confirmation of the exhibition of the results of the Platform for Urban Investigation Mexico at the Museo de Ciudad de México. The museum is located in the historic center of the city and will have several related exhibitions on themes like water and infrastructure that will overlap with ours. Also, we hold our conference here on the day of the opening. Many thanks to Cristina Faesler, the director of the museum, for setting this up.
